Drinking Snake Blood
Joanne, Tim, and I went to Snake Alley, where we watched a snake handler tease a cobra for a while before killing another snake, draining its blood, and taking out its gall bladder. They sell watered-down snake’s blood and gall bladder cocktails, along with what they said was “poison”, but which smelled like Kaoliang, a kind of liquor. Either the liquor neutralizes whatever small amount of poison was in it or there wasn’t any poison at all and it was just a gimmick. In any event, Tim was feeling brave and wanted to give it a go. So here it is, caught on camera, Tim drinking snake blood.
